JEWELRY CARE
Dust, pollution and daily use contribute to blur the brilliance of a precious stone and dull the surface of metals. As with all beautiful things in life, your jewelry requires care and attention, always keep it in a box or in a coated fabric bag.
GENERAL ADVICE
• Always remove your jewelry when you apply perfume, lotions and creams, or better yet, always wear your jewelry last when you get dressed.
• Make sure to wash off any chemicals that come into contact with your jewelry immediately.
• Store the jewels separately so they don’t rub or scratch against each other.
• Avoid wearing jewelry during strenuous physical activities to prevent sweat from opacifying the metal
• Remove your jewelry before taking a bath in the sea or in the pool, the sea salt and chlorine damage the metals.
Gold-plated jewelry
The gold bath jewel tends to dissolve over time, to make sure it lasts a long time follow the above tips and avoid wearing jewelry in the shower, at the beach or while swimming. Salt water and especially chlorine are harmful to jewelry and can discolour them.
Gently clean your gold-dipped jewelry with a very soft polishing cloth free of chemical additives.
Once the gold bath has vanished, you can order the gilding of your jewelry by contacting Dea Rail or go to any jewelry store.
Silver jewelry
Silver is a soft metal, for cleaning we recommend using a specific product for silver, gently rub the jewel, rinse it with cold water and dry with a very soft and clean cloth.
